20th December 2014 saw Julie and Adam exchange vows at their wedding in Queens Gardens, Perth.

Des and I first met Julie and Adam at our home in September 2014. They have been together since they met sixteen years ago. In the intervening time, they have faced many challenges, through which they have supported each other. They recently decided that the time was now right to marry.

There are a few places to hold a wedding in Queens Gardens, Perth. One is under a large old tree near a Peter Pan statue, and the other is in the gazebo. When I went to set up at the gazebo in the beautiful Queens Gardens I had to wait for another wedding to finish. Its obviously a  popular place and I can see why – the grounds are a beautiful place for a wedding and its hard to believe that they are smack in the middle of the Perth City Centre. The ducks float gently by on the lake and people are often sitting in the dappled shade enjoying the peace. We have even seen people practicing Tai-Chi in the peaceful surroundings.

Julie looked awesome in her white gown with her red hair curling softly around her face. Adam obviously thought so too as the photo of his first look is aptly titled “Wow” by the wonderful photographer from Mark Michael Photography. They have kindly given us permission to steal a few of their photos to share!
