J.D. Celebrancy was proud to officiate at another wedding in the Swan Valley last year when Nerissa and Ranzel married at Mulberry on Swan in June 2014. With the Swan River as a backdrop, red carpet and ample chairs, Nerissa arrived in a limousine, to be escorted into her wedding with her father by her side, eagerly watch by her husband-to-be, Ranzel. They have recently provided us with some beautiful photos to use, which bring back memories of a lovely traditional service which included readings by family members, a candle lighting service and a wine service, and much applause and cheering from family and friends as the couple became Husband and Wife. Their reception took place at Mulberry on Swan after the official photographs.
One of the readings they chose was “Love is a Temporary Madness”, taken from Captain Corelli’s Mandolin. It seemed to fit so well with the beautiful setting!
Love is a temporary madness;
It erupts like volcanoes and then subsides.
And when it subsides you have to make a decision.
You have to work out
Whether your roots have so entwined together
That it is inconceivable that you should ever part.
Because this is what love is.
Love is not breathlessness,
It is not excitement,
It is not the promulgation of eternal passion.
That is just being “in love” which any fool can do.
Love itself is what is left over
When being in love has burned away,
And this is both an art
And a fortunate accident.
Those that truly love
Have roots that grow towards each other underground,
And when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from their branches,
They find that they are one tree and not two.
