The Old Year

2014 has presented us with the opportunity to meet many new people – vendors and clients alike. We have been so very lucky to be able to participate in the journey that our couples make as they step into married life. One of the most recent couples married on New Years Eve with their wedding in Guildford.

Tracey and George have been together for many years. Now that their children have grown into young adults, they decided that it was time for them to concentrate on themselves. George had proposed to Tracey many times but circumstances always got in their way. However, this time when Tracey accepted things just seemed to fall into place.

With their family around them, they married in the gazebo at Stirling Square, Guildford. It was important to them to remember the servicemen and women that have died in wars giving us the peace that we now enjoy. With the commemorative needle behind, we took a few moments in silence to remember, not only them, but also family and friends unable to be present.

Tracey and George chose to read their vows to each other from scrolls we made for them, and then went on to celebrate their marriage and the New Year.

The New Year

Wednesday 31st December saw my last wedding for 2014 in Guildford, Perth. It has been a busy year, with J.D. Celebrancy growing exponentially. We have launched a new web-site, endeavouring to update it often and have become more involved with Social media, with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram becoming more familiar. 2015 shows a great deal of promise, with Dusk Bridal Fair looking as busy as ever. We would also like to see J.D. Celebrancy reach the point where Desiree and I are both able to commit to our business full-time.
