John Muir wrote;
Let the children walk with nature.
Let them see the beautiful blendings and communions of death and life
Their joyous inseparable unity as taught in woods and meadows, plains and mountains
Of our blessed star
And they will learn that death is stingless indeed
And as beautiful as life.
At this sad time, compassion, understanding and dignity are pre-requisites to planning and organising your service when a beloved one has passed away. Please see Swan Valley Memorials and Funerals for more information.
As full-time Civil Celebrant in Perth, it would be my honour and privilege to help you create and design a ceremony that will not only celebrate the life of your dearly departed family member but leave those attending the service with fond memories of his or her life.
Whilst I am happy to do all the readings and eulogy, I strongly encourage family and friends participation. Being involved in the planning of the funeral helps the grieving process for those involved.
I am happy to work with you and family members to include music, photographic tributes and other rituals, that speak about the dearly departed. The releasing of balloons, doves or butterflies to create a lasting memory of the day can be included at your cost. Being involved in the planning of the funeral helps the grieving process for those involved.
I am happy to discuss the concept of Natural Funerals and demystifying death. Not only do natural funerals help the environment, they help reduce the carbon foot print we have left behind on this earth, by the planting of trees and natural vegetation.
I am happy to:
- Liaise with Funeral Directors.
- With your input, write the eulogy.
- Write a service which honours the deceased and offers comfort to those left behind.
- Conduct that service.
- Help decorate coffins
- Supplying the family with a presentation copy of the service if required.
- Supply my fee on request.
